Preparing DNS before launch
We first copy your existing records, including the one that points to your current website and the ones your email uses. When your team changes nameservers, shoppers keep reaching your current website while the change spreads. We switch the website later, when you approve it.
Can we use a CNAME or A record instead?
Yes. If you prefer to keep DNS management, we provide the CNAME or A records for your site.
What you need to provide
Send the complete zone file for each domain before the change. Our scan only sees public-facing records, so some records can be missed. The zone file catches the non-public ones your IT team and service providers may rely on.
If your team keeps DNS, add the records we provide and leave your email and other service records in place. Either way, the domain stays yours.
